About .sh
The .sh extension is the country-code top-level domain for Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. IANA lists the Government of St. Helena as its ccTLD manager, with Internet Computer Bureau Ltd as technical contact, and gives its registration date as September 23, 1997.
NIC.SH, which describes itself as the official .sh registry, allows an applicant for a second-level .sh name to reside in any legal jurisdiction and issues names first come, first served. Third-level names, such as those under com.sh, require residence on St. Helena Island. Disputes over the registration or use of a .sh name fall under the .SH Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy, with proceedings before the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, and the registration agreement is governed by English law.
