Privacy Policy
This page explains, in plain English, what namesale.store collects, why, and who else is involved. It describes what the site actually does today.
Last updated: October 3, 2026
1. What we collect
Only what the site actually asks for or records:
- What you type into our forms. Contact, enquiry, offer and domain-submission forms ask for your name and email, and optionally a phone number, the domain you are interested in, a budget and a message.
- Account details. If you create an account, your email address and — when you sign in with Google — the basic profile information Google returns. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider, not stored by us in readable form.
- Order records. The domain purchased, the amount, the payment method used and a payment reference from the provider, so we can complete and support the transaction.
- Technical data. Standard server and backend logs, including IP address, browser and device information, and the pages requested. Some actions are rate-limited by IP to prevent abuse.
- Data stored in your own browser. Local storage holds your cart, favourites, recently viewed domains, saved searches and any referral code you arrived with, so the site works between visits. It also holds a random visitor ID and the test variants you were shown; we use them to record page views and checkout steps in our own database, together with the name of the site that referred you (never the full address). You can clear all of this at any time from your browser settings.
We do not receive or store full payment card numbers, PayPal credentials or crypto wallet keys.
2. Why we use it
- To process purchases and carry out domain transfers.
- To reply to enquiries, offers and domain submissions.
- To send transactional email about your order or request.
- To send updates or alerts you specifically opted into, until you opt out.
- To keep the site working and secure, and to detect abuse.
- To understand aggregate usage so we can improve the site.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
3. Who else is involved
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only where it is needed to run the service:
- Backend and hosting provider. Our database, authentication, file storage and server functions run on managed cloud infrastructure, where account, form and order records are stored.
- Payment providers. PayPal and NOWPayments process payments and apply their own privacy policies to the data you give them directly.
- Email delivery. A third-party email service sends transactional and opted-in messages on our behalf.
- Google Analytics. Used to measure page views and general usage patterns, and to count checkout starts and purchases (order value and domain name, no contact details).
- AI features. The Domain Finder, Brand Strategy, AI Brand Name Generator, Brand Direction Ideas and the site search suggestions send what you type to an AI model provider through our backend, to produce the answer or suggestions you asked for.
- Registrars. Completing a transfer requires sharing the details a registrar needs to move the domain to you.
- Legal authorities. Where disclosure is required by law or needed to investigate fraud or protect our rights.
These providers are based in, or run their infrastructure in, the United States and other countries. Using the site therefore means your information is processed outside the country you live in. Each provider publishes its own privacy and data-transfer terms, which govern the data it handles; we have not signed separate transfer agreements of our own on top of those.
4. Analytics, cookies and your controls
The site is served over HTTPS and uses cookies and browser storage for three things: keeping the app working (session, cart, preferences), our own first-party measurement (the visitor ID described above) and Google Analytics measurement. We do not run advertising retargeting from this site.
- Block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings — functional features such as the cart and favourites will reset.
- Opt out of Google Analytics across sites with Google's browser add-on, or use your browser's tracking-protection or private-browsing mode.
- Unsubscribe from any opted-in email using the link in the message, or by emailing us.
5. Security
Traffic to the site is encrypted in transit, access to backend data is restricted by row-level database rules and administrative checks, and sensitive operations run on the server rather than in your browser. No online service can be guaranteed secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If you believe an account or transaction has been compromised, email us straight away.
6. How long we keep things
Order and payment records are kept for as long as needed for support, accounting and legal obligations. Enquiry and submission messages are kept while they are relevant to an ongoing or possible transaction. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' own settings. If you want your data removed, contact us and we will review what can be deleted and what must be retained.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccurate details, deletion, a copy of what you provided, or to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Send requests to contact@namesale.store from, or mentioning, the email address you used with us. Requests are handled manually by a small team, so there is no instant or automated export or deletion tool; we will confirm receipt and tell you the outcome.
8. Other sites
Some pages link out to registrars, payment providers and other third-party sites. We do not control their privacy practices — please read their policies before sharing information with them.
9. Children
The service is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Changes
We update this policy when the way the site works changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version.
11. Contact
- Email: contact@namesale.store
- Or use the contact page .
This policy describes current practice in plain language. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a lawyer; wording specific to particular privacy laws should be reviewed by the business's qualified counsel before being relied on.
