Pricing
What a price on this site means, what you pay at checkout, and what we deliberately do not claim.
Prices are set per listing
Every domain in the catalog carries its own price. The price shown on the listing is the one used everywhere — in the catalog, on the domain page and at checkout.
We do not apply one published formula across the catalog. Every order is a new registration: after payment we register the name for you, and that registration is part of the price.
What you pay at checkout
- • Checkout is only available on listings we have recently re-confirmed. Other listings use an enquiry form instead.
- • The final NameSale total and the payment methods available for that order are shown before you confirm.
- • Card and PayPal, or crypto, are offered at checkout.
- NameSale does not currently add a separate crypto fee. A crypto invoice is created for the same NameSale total shown at checkout.
- • The purchase includes the first year of registration (two years for .ai, which registers in two-year terms). After that, renewal is paid to your own registrar at that extension's rate, shown on each listing as an estimate. Renewal rates differ a lot between extensions — compare first-year and renewal prices .
- • We can move the name straight into your account at the registrar we register it with. Moving it to a different registrar is usually locked for 60 days after registration, and that registrar then sets its own charges and terms — see the transfer guide .
Questions about a listing
Listings are sold at the price shown and paid in full at checkout. Adding a domain to the cart does not reserve or hold it: a domain remains available to other buyers until a purchase is completed. If you have a question about a specific domain, contact us before paying.
A price is not a valuation
A list price is our asking price for that domain. It is not an appraisal and it is not a prediction of market or resale value. Our domain name score rates length, extension and readability by fixed rules. It gives no dollar value and is not a valuation.
See the refund policy and terms for what happens if a paid domain cannot be delivered.
Common questions
How is a domain priced on NameSale?
Each listing carries one price we set for that specific domain, and that price is what checkout charges; the full total is shown before you pay. We do not publish a universal pricing formula, because prices are set per name rather than derived from one rule.
What will I actually pay?
The current payable price on the listing is what NameSale charges. The final NameSale total and the payment methods available for that order are shown before you confirm. NameSale does not currently add a separate crypto fee — a crypto invoice is created for the same NameSale total. Anything charged outside NameSale by a wallet, payment provider or registrar is governed by their own terms.
Is a list price a valuation?
No. A list price is what we are asking for that domain. It is not an appraisal, and it is not a guarantee of market value or of what the domain could be resold for.
Can I make an offer?
Listings are sold at the price shown and paid in full at checkout, where the full total is shown before you pay. If you have a question about a specific domain, contact us.
