Frequently asked questions
How does the domain purchase process work?
Browse the catalogue and open a listing. If the listing was verified as available recently, you can add it to the cart and complete checkout. If its availability has not been confirmed recently, the page shows an availability enquiry instead of a purchase button. Names marked as registered (someone else has registered them) cannot be purchased. After a confirmed payment we register the name for you and email the handover steps.
What payment methods do you accept?
The available payment methods are the ones shown at checkout for that order, which currently include PayPal, card via PayPal, and cryptocurrency. Methods can vary by order and are only offered for a listing that was verified as available recently.
Can I make an offer on a domain?
Listings are sold at the price shown and paid in full at checkout, where the full total is shown before you pay. If you have a question about a specific domain, contact us.
Are there extra fees for paying with crypto?
NameSale does not currently add a separate crypto fee. The crypto invoice is created for the same NameSale total shown at checkout. Anything charged outside NameSale by your wallet or payment provider is governed by their own terms.
Do I need an account to purchase?
No. Guest checkout is supported and requires an email address so we can send the order confirmation and transfer instructions. An account is optional and lets you track orders and save favourites.
Do you charge VAT or sales tax?
No. We do not add VAT or sales tax at checkout — the price shown is the whole amount NameSale charges. If tax is due on the purchase where you live, paying and reporting it is your responsibility, and we do not issue a tax invoice on your behalf.
Does adding a domain to my cart reserve it?
No. Adding a domain to the cart does not reserve or hold the domain, and no price lock is applied. If you have a question about a specific domain's availability, contact us before paying.
How long does the domain transfer take?
There is no fixed completion time. After a confirmed payment we register the name and email the handover steps; a push into your account at the registrar we registered it with can follow straight away. Moving a newly registered name to a different registrar is usually locked for 60 days after registration.
What happens after I purchase a domain?
You receive an order confirmation by email. We then register the name for you — every order is a new registration — and email the handover steps: reply with your account at the registrar we registered it with, or open one there, and we push the name into it. If something is unclear, you can contact us and we will help with the guidance.
Can you help with the transfer to my registrar?
We provide handover steps and answer questions during the process. A newly registered name can usually move to a different registrar only after the 60-day lock that follows registration, and the receiving registrar's own requirements then apply.
What do the listing statuses mean?
A listing that was verified as available recently can be added to the cart and purchased. A listing that is marked available but whose availability has not been confirmed recently shows an availability enquiry instead, so we can confirm it before any payment. A name marked as registered (someone else has registered it) or otherwise unavailable cannot be purchased, and you can ask us about similar domains.
How do you handle availability before payment?
Purchase paths are shown only for listings whose availability was verified recently. Where that check is older, the listing shows an availability enquiry so we can confirm the current status before you pay.
How is my payment handled?
Payments are processed by the payment provider you choose at checkout. Card details are entered with that provider and are not collected or stored by NameSale.
Can I see ownership or WHOIS information?
You can ask us about the records available for a specific domain and we will share what we can for that listing. Public WHOIS data can also be limited by registry and privacy rules.
What refund policy applies?
If we take a payment and cannot deliver the name, the amount paid goes back to your original payment method. Refunds are not offered for a change of mind, so please read the refund policy before purchasing.
Should I choose a .com or another TLD?
That depends on your project, audience and budget. .com is widely recognised, while extensions such as .io and .ai are common in tech and niche brands. You can filter the catalogue by extension to compare options.
Can I get help choosing a domain?
You can send us your requirements — industry, audience, budget and any preferred extensions — and we will point you to listings in the catalogue that match them.
How can I contact you?
You can use the Contact page or email contact@namesale.store. Replies go to the address you give us.
Do you handle enquiries for multiple domains?
Yes. Contact us with the list of domains you are interested in and we will let you know the current options for that request.
