About .info
.info is a generic top-level domain. IANA lists Identity Digital Limited as its sponsoring organization and gives June 26, 2001, as its registration date, one day after an IANA report concluded that .info should be added to the root zone. It was one of seven top-level domains the ICANN Board selected on November 16, 2000, and its first operator was Afilias Limited.
ICANN's records show that the current registry agreement, dated June 30, 2019, was assigned to Identity Digital Domains Limited in 2025. The agreement sets no registrant eligibility requirement and requires the operator to offer registrars initial terms of one to ten years. Identity Digital may reserve names from registration, and its acceptable use policy allows it to suspend or cancel domains used for malware, phishing or spam.
