About .digital
.digital is a generic top-level domain. IANA's root zone database lists Binky Moon, LLC, in care of Identity Digital Inc., as its sponsoring organization and gives April 17, 2014, as its registration date.
Its registry agreement with ICANN, signed in 2014 and renewed for a second term starting in 2024, says registration will be open to lawful registrants and eligibility will not be limited based on identity; it sets no residency requirement. The agreement requires registrars' contracts to bind registrants to applicable law, including privacy, data-collection and consumer-protection law, and to require those who collect and maintain sensitive health and financial data to use reasonable and appropriate security measures. Identity Digital may also reserve names from registration.
